The Community Chest Water World Ocean Park Charity Day was held on Monday, 13 September 2021. Without Ocean Park’s arrangements, the Chest wouldn’t be able to hold such a successful event. The event saw the participation of over 2,000 generous donors, and these donors also took the special opportunity to enjoy the many fun and exciting attractions at the Water World.

 

In addition, 1,000 children and youth from underprivileged families were invited to join the event for free. At the event’s ceremony, five beneficiary families interacted with guests and expressed their joy and happiness for being invited to join this meaningful event.

 

The Chest is deeply appreciative of the support given by its long-term supporter, Bank of China (Hong Kong). Thanks to the bank’s generous sponsorship, ticket proceeds from the event, without any deduction of administrative expenses, will go towards supporting social services for those in need offered by the Chest’s member agencies. Also, more than 20 volunteers from Bank of China (Hong Kong) distributed food vouchers and storage locker coupons to the underprivileged families. Their efforts speak volume about their commitment to charitable services.

 

The Chest would also like to express its appreciation to the event’s Organising Committee Co-Chairmen, Mr Paulo Pong, Mr Stanley Sun and Mr Lucian Yu, as well as all the donors who participated in the event.
