Deafblind Support Services

The Deaf-Blind Support Service serves people aged 16 and above with dual sensory loss in vision and hearing. Independent living skills training that range from daily living skills to pre-vocational work skills are rendered according to individual needs. A unique communication skills - "tactual sign language" has been developed for them to enhance their social integration, power of self-expression and daily communication with people around them. In addition, instructors’ training workshops are conducted regularly for exchange with fellow rehabilitation workers working with deaf-blind to enhance outcome effectiveness.
