Community Based Health Involvement Project

This project aims to launch a community networking programme for frail elderly living in Causeway Bay, Tai Hang and North Point. It focuses on fostering of positive living attitudes and promotion of healthy living lifestyles. Through the provision of regular community health talks, exhibitions, distribution of health pamphlets and community health check programmes, the health awareness of elderly is enhanced. Besides, mutual support groups for patients with chronic illnesses are also formed. In order to increase local participation, the project also uses the “train-the-trainer approach” to develop a pool of volunteers to provide assistance to the project.
