Parent Guidance Programme for At Risk Preschool Children

The waiting time for assessment for children suspected having developmental delay in the Child Assessment Centre is around one year.  Without a formal assessment of the child by professional, parents are very confused and distressed.  Their children cannot waitlist for appropriate services and miss the golden time of early intervention.

The project helps 30 at risk preschool children from low income families to undergo a developmental assessment by psychologist.  In addition, consultation, information and guidance will be provided to the parents to enhance their support and developing their children in this critical time.
