The ReLive Project
The project aims to facilitate people with physical disabilities, who are suffering from prolonged period of limbs spasticity or physical limitations for over 6 months with the development of chronic pain and mental health symptoms, to re-establish an actively engaged independent life with autonomy, dignity and self-efficacy. Holistic occupational therapy services adopting an occupational redesign and occupation-based approach would be provided to members for (1) promoting members’ self-mastery of own’s physical conditions and independent living skills, (2) reestablishing multiple life roles and identities outside a “patient”, and (3) mobilising an active lifestyle outside being a “patient”, so as to improve members’ resilience, self-efficacy, holistic health and independent engaging community living. Sub-services include tailor-making assistive aids / devices, splintage, rent-to-own assistive aids for home programmes, peers-coach scheme, vocational support, self-help group, local tours and overseas exchange etc. The sportsmanship, strength and persistence of these life fighters would advocate for and bring positive impacts to society with their never-give-up and energetic living attitude.
