Healing Arts for Dementia

The Art Healing Programme for people with dementia and their caregivers will be specifically designed and implemented at Day Centres and Elderly Centres by means of group activities.  The therapeutic approach utilises various art forms, such as painting, drawing, and sculpture, to enhance cognitive functions, reduce negative emotions of people with dementia and provide caregivers with a way to relieve stress.

The project will also share the skills and experience with those working in the field through seminars, exhibition of art pieces and publishing a guidebook to expand the reach of beneficiaries.
