Agency Visits Foster Understanding of Service Performance and Mutual Exchange
2022-11-09

In spite of enormous challenges, the Community Chest has endeavoured to raise funds and fulfil its funding pledges to 168 member agencies. All funds raised will be allocated in full so that member agencies can continue to provide high quality and pertinent services to meet the needs in society.

The Chest organises visits to member agencies each year to promote mutual exchange and to ensure that the allocated funds can generate positive impact on beneficiaries. This year, more than 40 visits, both online and in person, were organised in September and October so that the Chest’s board and committee members as well as representatives of corporate donors could see for themselves the actual operations of the subvented services and encourage member agencies to strive for excellence.

Mr Charles Yang, Chairman of the Admissions, Budgets & Allocations Committee, along with other board and committee members, took part in some of the in-person visits in October and met with representatives of member agencies and beneficiaries. During the exchanges, they learned more about the latest developments of various services and took part in cheque presentation ceremonies for the 2022/2023 allocations.
