To celebrate the 55th anniversary of The Community Chest, the Chest is organising a special Walk for Millions on Sunday, 7 January 2024 - The Community Chest 55th Anniversary Walk for Millions (Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge - Hong Kong Link Road). Members of the public can step on this iconic infrastructure to enjoy a memorable walk. The Chest would like to express its heartfelt gratitude to Bank of China (Hong Kong) for sponsoring the walk, which enables the Chest to allocate all funds raised to its member agencies in support of family and child welfare services. 

The Chest is deeply grateful for the tremendous support given by various government departments. As the walk will take place within a restricted area with limited capacity, pre-event enrolment for participation is required. A minimum donation of HK$800 or above should be made to confirm the eligibility for each individual participant. Interested participants can enroll and make a donation through Cityline Website: www.cityline.com/en from Monday, 20 November 2023 at 10:00am. Enrolment is on a first-come-first-served basis.

The walk will start near the west portal of Scenic Hill Tunnel of Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge – Hong Kong Link Road. It will take place along the Hong Kong Bound Lane, and walkers will take a return route near Sha Lo Wan to the Finish Point. The total distance is around 6 km and it will take around 2 hours to complete the whole journey. There is no drop-out point. The walk is subjected to the final approval from government departments.

The Chest would also like to specially acknowledge AsiaWorld-Expo and The Kowloon Motor Bus Co.(1933) Ltd. for providing venue support and shuttle bus services respectively. The Chest will implement stringent security measures during the event, and all participants are expected to strictly adhere to these measures.
