The Community Chest Virtual Walk Continues to “Stride” for Millions And Raise Funds for Family and Child Welfare Services

Walk for Millions is not only the most iconic fundraising event of The Community Chest of Hong Kong (the Chest) but also immensely popular among the public. This campaign year, it will continue to be held virtually due to the pandemic and social distancing measures.
Fully supported by Bank of China (Hong Kong), 100% of the donations raised from the event will be allocated to family and child welfare services supported by the Chest without deduction of administrative costs.
This time, participants are required to walk 10,000 steps between 9-23 January 2022 at any time and place in any form. To promote low carbon living and reduce carbon emission, the Chest will launch a green challenge during the event where participants will have a chance to win an eco-friendly gift after completing the designated carbon reduction tasks.
The first virtual walk was launched in 2020/2021 campaign year and raised over HK$5.3 million. It attracted the participation of more than 5,500 people with over 105 million steps recorded.
