Press Releases
This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Community Chest Dress Casual Day. Scheduled for Monday, 30 October and themed “Wear Your Moment”, the Chest encourages office workers and students to put on their comfortable casual outfits on this special day and raise funds for those in need in the community.
All funds raised, without any deduction of administrative expenses, will go towards child protection and welfare services provided by the Chest’s member agencies to offer assistance to neglected children, and to increase public awareness about child abuse prevention for the healthy and all round development of children. This year, the Chest collaborates with the Hong Kong Police Force’s Child Protection Campaign to enhance public awareness of the importance of child protection.
Celebrities Carlos Chan and Michelle Wai participate in this year’s promotional video and appeal to the public to support the event. Also, local illustrator cheeky cheeky added colour to the event by designing positive vibes promotional materials.
Anyone can join Dress Casual Day with a donation of $70 or more. Students can enrol through their schools with no minimum donation amount. For every contribution of $200 or above, participants will receive a 30th anniversary limited edition phone strap while stocks last.
To learn more and enrol, please visit the Dress Casual Day webpage at www.commchest.org/event/DCD2023/en, or contact the Chest Office at 2599 6111. Latest information will also be announced on the Chest’s Facebook page and Instagram account.
Dress Casual Day 30 years of success wouldn’t have been possible without the generosity of all participants and corporate supporters: Diamond Sponsors Hang Seng Bank and Nameson Group Limited, Silver Sponsor Shanghai Commercial Bank Limited and Vobile Group Limited, and Incentive Sponsor German Pool (Hong Kong) Limited. Our deepest appreciation also goes to Harbour City, Times Square and Plaza Hollywood, and Media Partner ECONOMIC DIGEST, Headline Daily, JobsDB Hong Kong and SUNDAY MORE for their full support.
